Explanations were given by the social media
The X account of Yulia Navalnaya, widow of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, was briefly suspended today due to an error, the social media explained, caused by a system that prevents manipulation and spam messages.
“Our platform’s anti-manipulation and anti-spam defense mechanism accidentally flagged the @yulia_navalnaya account as violating our rules,” the X in an announcement.
“We restored the operation of the account as soon as we were informed of the error and we are proceeding with updating the system.”
Navalny, who said she wanted to continue her late husband’s political campaign against President Vladimir Putin, opened the account on Monday.
So far he has amassed more than 150,000 followers and a video statement he posted yesterday has been watched by users nearly 5 million times.
