A total of over 1.87 million people have “downloaded” the gov.gr wallet on their mobile phone – From April 9, the new stadium entry system
In the last thirty days, 105,237 thousand citizens “downloaded” the gov.gr wallet on their mobile phones, keeping in mind their return to the stands on April 9, while the total number of Greeks who “acquired” a digital wallet – since its launch in July of 2022- estimated at 1,877,032.

However, in order to have their digital wallet on their mobile phone, sports fans must first be registered in the National Communication Registry (EMEp). Until now, the data shows that in the last 30 days, 220,361 people have registered their details, while since the first moment that the EMEp started to operate productively in March 2021 and until today, 4,019,851 citizens have completed their registration.
As the Minister of Digital Governance has mentioned, “from April 9 we will use our digital wallet, gov.gr, for our secure entrance to the stadiums. wallet through which we will soon give our consent for the completion of procedures that require the use of our personal data. I therefore consider it very important that all those who have not already done so, register today in the National Register of Communications, emep.gov.gr and (https://howto.gov.gr/course/view.php?id=14 ). It’s a simple process, but an important prerequisite, to use all those tools that make our daily life even friendlier, easier and certainly without bureaucracy, not even digital.”
What is the process for registering your contact information to be available in your online transactions with the government?
1. Enter your mobile phone number and you will receive a one-time code via SMS to verify ownership.
2. Verify ownership of your mobile phone number through a financial institution or mobile service provider.
Note: In case this is not possible, you must visit a K.E.P. Alternatively, if you are a foreign resident, you can visit your local consular authority.
3. Fill in the rest of your contact information. You will receive:
* one-time code with a text message (SMS) to your mobile to confirm the declaration of your details
* confirmation link in your email to confirm your email.
You will need:
* your personal Taxisnet passwords
* your mobile phone number
* your email address
Each phone number can only be entered once.
The electronic registration and electronic updating of your contact details in EMEp constitutes a responsible declaration.
In the event of a change in your contact information, you must inform EMEp within 30 days of their change. The history of changes to your data in EMEp is kept for 7 years.
