Giulekas and Perpataris refused to enter the arena, complaining of severe leg pain
Alalum prevailed in yesterday’s (20/3) episode Survivor between the players of the Red Team, as a result of which the fourth immunity match was interrupted for some time.
Shortly after the second scrimmages and with the score at 7-2 in favor of the Blues, Giorgos Giulekas and Yiannis Perpataris refused to enter the arena, complaining of severe pains in their legs, without the consent of the doctors.
“How many times have penalties been awarded? I don’t understand why my own penalty and Giannis’s are being discussed. I have some problems, the doctor has told me so. Last week I took 14 pills to avoid the pains,” claimed Giorgos Giulekas, with the spirits on Survivor quickly sharpening.
“I would never do this,” commented Asimina Hatziandreou for her part, while Katerina Dalaka also emphasized: “I am a person who has not learned to give up.”
“I respect everyone’s pain, I have pains that I don’t even tell the doctor and I enter to compete. Coming into Survivor we knew what we were going to face. Some of us have played 6 and 7 and 8 runs and haven’t complained. And today I feel like I have a fever but I’m in, I won’t quit my team,” Dora remarked, causing the Blue Team to react.
“Hey Dora, you always start well and then you put the “but” and drip medicine. As a team we can afford to sit out if we are hurting. This doesn’t happen in your team,” emphasized James Cafetzis, with Stavroula underlining: “The fact that we have come to Survivor and have these hardships does not mean that we should kill ourselves and have them in our lives afterwards.”
The tension continued for a while between the two groups, with George and Yiannis attacking Dora for her words to defend their position.
“All the…athletes have come to Survivor to show that they are athletes. Guys, if you were athletes you wouldn’t be here, sorry already”, commented James Cafetzis with the immunity match continuing shortly thereafter.
