Stock prices recorded upward trends in today’s Stock Exchange session, with the market breaking upwards and the levels of 1,480 points, closing at new 13-year highs.
The General Price Index closed at 1,484.06 points, marking an increase of 0.46%. It is the highest close since the April 14, 2011 session (1,487.76 points). Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,485.95 units (+0.59%).
The main stock market index, on a weekly basis, registered an increase of 2.19%, while since the beginning of the year it has increased by 14.76%.
The value of transactions amounted to 113.24 million euros, while 22,161,682 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.36%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.87%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ellactor (+2.67%), Aegean Airlines (+2.57%), Piraeus (+2.12%), EYDAP (+1, 56%) and Motor Oil (+1.55%).
On the contrary, Viohalco (-1.15%), Elvalhalcor (-0.99%) and Jumbo (-0.72%) shares recorded the biggest fall.
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 5,163,608 and 4,130,160 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Piraeus with 14.70 million euros and Jumbo with 10.10 million euros.
70 stocks moved up, 41 fell and 20 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(p) +19.39% and Attica Publishing +8.47%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(k) -4.62% and Minerva -3.28%.
