The General Price Index closed at 1,265.36 points, recording a gain of 0.53%
Upward trends prevailed in today’s session of the Stock Exchange, with the market breaking upwards the resistance of 1,260 points, with increased turnover.
Investors’ interest is focused on the Hellenic Investment Conference organized in London by Morgan Stanley in collaboration with the AX and with the participation of 37 listed companies.
The General Price Index closed at 1,265.36 points, marking an increase of 0.53%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a higher price at 1,267.31 points (+0.68%) and a lower price at 1,255.65 points (-0.24%).
The value of transactions amounted to 121.39 million euros, while 27,209,309 shares were traded.
The large-cap index gained 0.26%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.59%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Sarantis (+5.59%), Elvalhalcor (+5.56%), EYDAP (+2.73%) and Ellactor (+2.68 %).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-2.42%), National (-1.68%) and Quest (-1.45%).
Of the individual indices, the Financial Services (+1.93%) and Travel (+1.78%) indices recorded the biggest increase, while the Personal Products indices (-2.11%) and of Trade (-0.90%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Ethniki, trading 5,193,408 and 4,740,967 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by National Bank with 28.92 million euros and OTE with 9.48 million euros.
60 stocks moved up, 44 fell and 17 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Optima bank +6.65% and Sarantis +5.59%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Frigoglass -9.72% and Progressive -5.94%.
