The market closed with a slight increase in today’s session Stock Exchange, while the European stock markets also moved with marginal fluctuations, with sluggish rates in a festive atmosphere. The shares of Ethniki and Piraeus stood out from the high capitalization.
The General Price Index closed at 1,293.19 points, marking an increase of 0.18%. Intra-session recorded a higher price at 1,298.43 units (+0.58%)
The value of transactions amounted to 65.84 million euros, while 16,507,010 shares were traded.
The large-cap index rose 0.21%, while the mid-cap index gained 0.15%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Ethniki (+1.94%), Piraeus (+1.76%) and Sarantis (+1.20%).
On the contrary, the largest decline was recorded by the shares of Jumbo (-2.63%), Quest Participations (-1.79%), Aegean (-1.40%) and GEK TERNA (-1.36%).
Intralot and Alpha Bank presented the largest volume of transactions, trading 3,465,238 and 2,558,895 shares, respectively.
The highest value of transactions was recorded by Nthniki with 11.57 million euros and OPAP with 4.77 million euros.
59 stocks moved up, 43 fell and 16 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Leventeris(p) +18.33% and Klukinas-Lappas +10.83%.
The biggest drop was recorded by the shares: Fieratex -4.36% and Mermeren -4.35%.
