The turnover reached 86.94 million euros
Share prices closed mildly lower in the final session of the week, with low turnover, amid negative sentiment in European markets as well, in the wake of yesterday’s fall on Wall Street on concerns of higher interest rates for a longer period of time.
Its General Price Index Stock Exchange closed at 1,477.69 points, down 0.27%. Intra-sessionally it recorded a lower price at 1,469.72 points (-0.81%).
On a weekly basis, the main stock market index recorded a drop of 0.86%, while since the beginning of 2024 it has recorded gains of 14.27%.
The value of transactions fell to lower levels and fluctuated for the second session below 100 million euros. It amounted to 86.94 million euros, while 16,590,763 shares were traded.
The large-cap index fell 0.24%, while the mid-cap index fell 0.53%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the biggest increase was recorded by the shares of Autohellas (+2.50%), ELPE (+2.39%), EYDAP (+1.02%) and OPAP (+0.87 %).
On the contrary, the biggest fall was recorded by the shares of Motor Oil (-1.96%), Elactor (-1.87%) and Titan (-1.24%).
The largest volume of transactions was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank, trading 4,156,463 and 3,515,706 shares, respectively.
The largest transaction value was recorded by the National Bank with 11.69 million euros.
37 stocks moved up, 61 down and 29 remained stable.
The biggest increase was recorded by the shares: Bitros +9.90% and Doppler +9.68%.
The biggest drop was registered by the shares: Voyatzoglou Systems -6.82% and Minerva -5.36%.
