Which beaches are included in the list?
Residents, representatives of institutions and the Municipality of Aristoteli express satisfaction and pride for the distinctions of the beaches in the area after the laudatory comments of the travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler, which included the Kamboudi beach of Ouranoupoli among the cleanest beaches in the world, for the international “Blue Flag” program ». The “Kamboodi” which is awarded for the three Blue Flags of every year since 1951, it is even in the introduction of the list of awarded clean beaches of Greece.
The mayor of Aristotelis Stelios Valianos, in his written statement, notes that “yet another international publishing house, with a huge readership worldwide, both in its printed editions and on the internet, chooses to highlight a landmark of the Municipality of Aristotelis, as a leading Greek and among the top in the world! This development is the best justification – yet another – of the trust we have shown in the comparative advantages of our country, investing in tourism development, methodically and efficiently. We continue on the same path with the same commitment and naturally proud of the whole Chalcidice, which with 104 Blue Flags is the first prefecture in all of Greece, with 17 of them adorning the Municipality of Aristoteli.”
For the record, according to APE BEE, this year’s “Blue Flag” program for the cleanest beaches, highlighted Greece with 625 awarded beaches in 2nd place behind Spain (639), among 53 countries participating in the program.
