Video-documentary recorded the threats of men of the Turkish coast guard calling on the Greeks to leave the area
A new provocation by the Turks off the coast of Imia was recorded in a video-documentary, which was presented by the main bulletin of ANT1, in which men of the Turkish coast guard are seen threatening Kalymnian fishermen.
According to information cited by ANT1, the provocative incident took place three days ago in the sea area of Imia, between the Turkish coast guard and the Kalymnian fishermen. In the video, three men from the Turkish Coast Guard can be seen on an inflatable boat and threateningly approaching the fishermen’s boat. They are told to leave the sea area, where they are fishing and moving menacingly towards them, making dangerous maneuvers.
In fact, they do not hesitate, as can be heard in the video, to try to terrorize them, even showing off the weapons they carry. The fishermen immediately alerted the Coast Guard, while after a few minutes the Turkish coast guards left for the Turkish coast. According to ANT1 information, the boat was sent by a larger vessel of the Turkish Coast Guard, which was watching a little further away.
In the sea area of Imia every December and January, a series of incidents occur, as this is the so-called “sea bream season”.
