“Have you regretted things you’ve said that may have hurt some groups of people?” Fotis Sergoulopoulos asked him.
A guest on the show “Morning se eidon” was Mr Michalis Iatropoulos.
The well-known actor spoke to Fotis Sergoulopoulos and Jenny Melita for his next professional steps. However, at some point in the discussion, Fotis Sergoulopoulos surprised Michalis Iatropoulos by referring to an earlier actor’s public statement about homosexualswhich had caused a sensation.
“Let me ask you something, Michael, you said earlier that you are making a film about the abuse of women. Things have changed in recent years for women, for homosexuals, a bill was passed recently. Have you regretted things you’ve said that may have hurt certain groups of people?Fotis Sergoulopoulos asked.
“I once spoke in 2008 on the show of Makis Triantafyllopoulos and I had somewhat inelegantly called the “provocative” homosexuals. What do I mean by “provocative”? Those who behave badly, when the other person is disparaging and abusive towards you. This is what I meant and it was misunderstood” explained Michalis Iatropoulos and added: “I am a popular person and I express myself like this, sometimes I forget that I am on TV”.
Finally, the actor revealed: “I have defended these people a lot in my neighborhood in Thessaloniki. I played hard so they wouldn’t be bothered.”
