“As soon as I saw the issue, I begged the editor not to play it”
Maurikios Maurikiou spoke on the “Breakfast@star” show. The well-known artist answered, among other things, about Maria Ioannidou’s recent statements regarding homosexuals, while also referring to the reasons that “forced” him to leave Greece.
“I came incognito to Greece after a long time to cover the Fame Story for my show in Cyprus. I would absolutely love to be at YFSF. It is currently impossible to broadcast in Greece. Some suggestions have been made. I disagree that Alcestis Protopsalti removed the word “fat” from the song “Adonis”. I go crazy watching people wear whatever they want. I will put on a swimsuit and show my belly on the beach, why not”, initially said Maurikios Maurikiou.
Maurikios Maurikiou then said about Maria Ioannidou’s statements: “As soon as I saw the issue, I begged the editor-in-chief not to play it, because I didn’t want to fight with Maria Ioannidou. Don’t get me wrong, but she’s goofy, in a good way. I think she said it so we could deal with her.”
In closing, Maurikios Maurikiou said: “I have eaten a lot of “wood” from the press and this was one of the reasons I left Greece and I don’t miss Greece very much. I’ve had a hard time, many nights I cried, I closed in on myself many times.”
