In the next stage, citizens will be able to request and receive a range of other administrative documents, with priority given to the most frequently issued certificates
A new action is taken by the Digital Assistant “mAigov”, the first large-scale Artificial Intelligence application of the Greek Government, which from today with the consent of the mobile phone user on the gov.gr platform can issue and send in real time to the citizen’s personal inbox , the certificate of the Registry of Marriage.
It is the first feature that kicks off the upgrade of the digital assistant to Action Bot, followed by the addition of more administrative document categories. “From today, citizens can, through the gov.gr application for mobile devices, request mAigov to issue a Marriage Certificate and after giving their consent, the Digital Assistant will send it in real time to their inbox on gov.gr”, said the Minister of Digital Governance, Dimitris Papastergiou, in the context of the presence at the international exhibition of digital transformation, technology and innovation “Beyond 2024”.
“At the Ministry of Digital Governance we have strong reflexes and use cutting-edge technologies to speed up processes and reduce bureaucracy, freeing up important resources both for citizens and businesses, as well as for the Public Administration itself,” he pointed out.
In the next stage, citizens will be able to request and receive from mAigov a series of other administrative documents, with priority given to the most frequently issued certificates, as well as standardized responsible declarations.
The procedure that citizens follow if they wish to have the Marriage Certificate issued by the Digital Assistant is as follows:
– They download the gov.gr application on their mobile phone from Google Play or the App Store, in case they do not already have it installed
– Connect to the gov.gr application with your personal TaxisNet or Web Banking codes
– They select on the central screen the icon that takes them to the dialogue environment with mAigov
– They request mAigov, at this stage, to issue the Marriage Certificate
– The Digital Assistant asks for the citizen’s consent to complete the process
– As soon as the citizen gives his consent, the Digital Assistant informs him that the document he requested, in this particular case the Marriage Certificate, has been stored in his personal Citizen’s Mailbox at gov.gr.
The certificate has the validity features of gov.gr, i.e. a unique code number in alphanumeric format and in QR format, as well as an advanced electronic signature of the Ministry of Digital Governance. It is valid when it is traded both as an electronic document and as a paper document.
The upgrade of the Digital Assistant, in order to provide the functionality of issuing certificates from the gov.gr application for mobile devices, has been developed by the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures (EDYTE S.A. – GRNET), a body of the Ministry of Digital Governance , in collaboration with the UBITECH company, using a Genetic Artificial Intelligence Automated Workflow solution.
It is recalled that mAigov responds in the 24 official languages of the European Union and in Albanian, helping citizens to easily and friendly locate the service or administrative procedure they are looking for among the 1753 services of gov.gr and the 3356 administrative procedures of the National Registry of Administrative Procedures “MITOS”. Since the start of its operation, almost 700 thousand questions have been submitted. It is worth noting that there has not been an hour in the day when at least one query has not been submitted to the Digital Assistant.
