The first payment of the allowance is expected by December 22
Households still have a few hours to submit an application in order to receive it heating benefit which ranges from 100 to 1,000 euros. The platform myAADE Heating, which until last night (7/12) had received approximately 970,000 applications, closes today Friday (8/12), if no extension is granted, and immediately after that the time for payments begins to count down.
The first payment of the allowance has been “locked in” and expected by December 22, 2023 with last year’s beneficiaries receiving the amount of benefit they received last year as an advance.
Shortly before the online platform closes myHeatingbeneficiaries who have not yet applied should be aware of the following:
1. In the application, the following information is indicated as the case may be:
- the Tax Registry Number (T.F.M.) of the requesting person – subject to a tax return,
- his name,
- the number of his dependent children,
- the indication if it is an apartment building,
- the electricity supply number of the main residential property,
- the postal address corresponding to the specific electricity supply, if the residence is privately owned, rented or granted free of charge, as well as the A.F.M. the lessor or the free grantor,
- the square meters of main areas of the main residence at the time of submission of the application,
- the type of heating fuel or thermal energy desired to be subsidized,
- his contact information (e-mail address, mobile or landline number).
2. Before finalizing the application, the IVAN account number, which belongs to the beneficiary and to which he wishes to have the amount of the allowance credited, must have been declared.
3. Beneficiaries of this year’s allowance are natural persons, single or married or widowed or persons who have entered into a cohabitation agreement or are separated or divorced, who for their heating consume internal combustion heating oil or lighting oil (blue kerosene) or natural gas or LPG or firewood or biomass (pellets) or thermal energy through district heating. Especially for the granting of a heating subsidy to consumers of firewood and biomass (pellets), an additional condition is set that the property is located in a settlement with a population equal to or below 10,000 inhabitants and the corresponding subsidy coefficient is equal to or greater than 0.8.
4. The allowance ranges from 100 euros to 800 euros with an increase to 1,000 euros especially for residents of very cold areas. Very cold areas are considered settlements whose subsidy factor is greater than or equal to unity (1). These areas include many areas such as Florina, Kozani, Karpenisi etc. The allowance for each beneficiary will be calculated by multiplying the basic amount of 350 euros by the subsidy factor, 0.12 to 1.62, determined for the settlement in which their main residence is located.
5. The following criteria apply to the granting of the allowance:
Income: Their annual total family income, real and presumed, up to 16,000 euros for an unmarried debtor or a widowed or separated debtor and 24,000 euros for a married debtor or married persons or parties to a cohabitation agreement who submit a separate tax return or married persons who submit a tax return statement or the natural persons who have entered into a cohabitation agreement and have submitted a joint tax return without children, which is increased by 5,000 euros for each child. For a single-parent family, the income is up to 29,000 euros, with an additional 5,000 euros for each child after the first.
For those running a business, the gross income should not exceed 80,000 euros.
Real Estate: The total value of the real estate must not exceed 200,000 euros for singles, and 300,000 euros for married or cohabiting parties and single-parent families.
