“I couldn’t get into the intrigues, I couldn’t get into the tricks they tell and I loathed all of that”
Giorgos Constantinou gave a full interview on the show “Eleni” on the occasion of the new show he is starring in at the “Argo” theater and among other things he talked about his long artistic journey, the fiction and the intrigues that he always hated in the artistic field .
More specifically, Giorgos Konstantinou stated that “I always looked to the future, I didn’t look at the past and I didn’t stay behind at all. I followed the current, went forward with the current and left nothing behind. I’m not nostalgic for the past, not at all. I might have been successful in the movies, it would have been a disaster, very beautiful and very nice, I love them very much, but I would never stay in them.”
“What I have a bit of an objection to in today’s fiction is that there are too many of these serials and they have some similar relationships to each other. I don’t know if I could contribute to such a serial. But it was found in the Pantheons, because it is a great work, something that should have been more justified” he said about today’s television productions.
Referring to his artistic journey, he said that “many times I didn’t claim things in my work. I was a low key person, I never fooled people. I couldn’t get into intrigues, I couldn’t get into the tricks they tell, and I loathed all of that. That’s why I found myself too many times beaten and wronged and out, out, out.” “I’ve been in a lot of plays where I’ve been out for ten minutes, a quarter. I’ve done that and I don’t have any problems, but I know that what I’m going to do at that moment will be strong, honest and creative,” he concluded.
