New Administration at the Railway Regulatory Authority: The Names

Changes in the administration of the Railway Regulatory Authority (RAS) have been announced, with new individuals taking on critical roles. The Committee on Institutions and Transparency of the Parliament will meet on Thursday, June 26, to examine the members of the new administration.
The proposed members are:
- Georgia Ayfantopoulou: Proposed for President.
- Michalis Chrysomalilis: Proposed for Vice President.
- Stylianos Efstathiadis: Proposed as a regular member.
- Petros Papagiannakis: Proposed as a regular member.
- Georgios Stefanidis: Proposed as a regular member.
Georgia Ayfantopoulou is a Dr. Civil Engineer Transport Engineer, researcher of the 1st grade and Director of Research at EKETA/IMET. Michalis Chrysomalilis is Professor Emeritus of EU Law at the Law School of DUTH.
Stylianos Efstathiadis is a Civil Engineer - Transport Engineer, while Petros Papagiannakis is the CEO of the Spanish-French Infrastructure Manager of Línea Figueras Perpignan. Georgios Stefanidis is a Professor of Transport.
The new composition of RAS will have an important role in controlling railway safety, monitoring interoperability, and enhancing transparency and competition in rail transport.
