Closure of Meneou Avenue due to construction works

A section of Meneou Avenue in the Larnaca district will remain closed until August 8th due to the construction of Phase C of the Larnaca Sewerage System, according to an announcement by the Larnaca District Self-Government Organisation.

The closure will take place in three phases. Road signs will be in place for traffic management. During the 1st phase, the route from/to Kiti to/from Mazotos – Tersefanou will be via Souliou Street. In the remaining two phases, traffic will be diverted via Archbishop Makarios III Avenue.

Additionally, a section of Mazotos Avenue remains closed, with a diversion via Samou and Ymbrou streets. Drivers are urged to be cautious and follow the warning signs.

The Larnaca District Self-Government Organisation assures that before each road closure, the approval of the traffic police, municipal/community authorities, and the engineer is secured. Traffic management measures are determined by the Police in consultation with local authorities.
