Complaint of "Tension" at Tsada Church by Former Member

A former member of the Ecclesiastical Committee of Tsada parish is complaining about an incident of "tension" that occurred inside the Tsada church.
According to the complainant, the incident took place recently inside the church. The purpose of the complaint is to inform the public about the behavior of newly elected members of the ecclesiastical committee.
The former committee member claims that he wanted to clean the icon of the Virgin Mary and asked a member of the new committee for cleaning supplies. Instead, he allegedly received an aggressive verbal attack. He claims he was told in a stern tone, "We are now in charge of the church" and was asked to leave.
When he tried to explain his intention, the committee member threatened to call the police if he did not leave. The former member points out that he is reporting the incident so that the community knows who has taken over the management of the church.
He emphasizes the need for parishioners to consider who represents the church and whether their behavior is worthy of the sacred space.
The four-member committee consists of Vasos Georgiou, Daniel Makariou, Dimitra Georgiadou and Sozos Sofokleous. The members of the previous committee had been suspended by the former Metropolitan of Paphos Tychikos. An order for a repeat election followed from the Guardian of the Metropolis of Paphos.
