Epstein Case: Trump Administration to Release Documents

The Trump administration is preparing to release hundreds of thousands of documents related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, who was convicted of sex crimes. According to a senior Justice Department official, the release begins today and will continue in the coming weeks.

Today marks the deadline stipulated by law for the disclosure of all documents held by the Trump administration. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blance told Fox News that he expects "many hundreds of thousands of documents" of various forms to be released. He clarified that the delay is due to the need to ensure the full protection of victims.

Observers expect the documents to be partially redacted, as the ministry has the right not to disclose names or sensitive information. Epstein was found hanged in his cell in New York in August 2019, before his trial, sparking conspiracy theories.

Trump, during his 2024 election campaign, had promised revelations about the case, but later changed his stance. Finally, in November, he ratified the law requiring the disclosure of the documents.
