Trump Calls for Increased Defense Spending to $1.5 Trillion

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has proposed increasing U.S. defense spending to $1.5 trillion by 2027.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump stated that he reached this decision after consultations with members of Congress and senators.

"I have decided that, for the good of our country, especially in these troubled and dangerous times, our military budget for the year 2027 should not be $1 trillion, but rather $1.5 trillion," he wrote.
