Trump Orders ICE and CBP to Stay Away From Protests

U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the Department of Homeland Security not to engage in protests in cities run by Democrats unless federal assistance is requested or federal property is threatened.
Trump stated that ICE and Border Patrol personnel will continue to guard federal buildings. The announcement comes after protests in Minneapolis and other cities demanding the withdrawal of federal immigration services.
The Trump administration had sent 3,000 federal officials to the Minneapolis area to crack down on illegal immigration, and many of these officials faced protesters.
Trump has sent federal officials to cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Portland, claiming it is necessary to enforce immigration laws and control crime.
