Trump to Campaign Actively, Plans Meeting with Xi in April

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed his intention to actively participate in the Republican campaign ahead of the midterm elections. He also announced plans to visit China in April.

Speaking to reporters, Donald Trump stated that he would be making many trips as part of the campaign. Regarding China, he mentioned that he looks forward to meeting with President Xi Jinping.

Trump acknowledged that relations between the U.S. and China were tested during the pandemic but argued that they have improved significantly. He pointed out that China is buying large quantities of American soybeans, which benefits American farmers and contributes to the stabilization of trade relations.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is expected to travel to the United States towards the end of 2026.
