A shocking incident occurred in Minneapolis as a shooter opened fire at a church, killing two children and injuring 18 others. The perpetrator, identified as Robin Westman, was reportedly "obsessed with the idea of killing children," according to police.

The victims have been identified as Fletcher Merkel, eight years old, and Harper Moisky, ten years old. Their families have expressed their grief and called for action to end gun violence.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara stated that the shooter did not appear to have a specific motive but "wanted to kill children." The perpetrator died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

FBI Director Kash Patel described the attack as "an act of domestic terrorism motivated by a hate-filled ideology." Westman had expressed hatred towards the Jewish community and President Trump.

Following the attack, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey called on the state to enact a ban on automatic weapons.
