Severe Weather in the US: Thousands of Flights Canceled

In the United States, four thousand flights were canceled yesterday and another nine thousand cancellations are expected today due to a severe weather system.

The severe weather threatens to paralyze the eastern states. There are already power outages affecting 130,000 households in Texas and Louisiana.

According to meteorologists, frost, snow, and rain are expected to sweep across two-thirds of the eastern states from today until the middle of next week.

President Trump approved the declaration of a state of emergency in South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Indiana, and West Virginia.
