Former U.S. President Donald Trump filed a defamation lawsuit in a Miami federal court against Dow Jones, News Corp, Rupert Murdoch, and journalists from the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), seeking $10 billion in damages.

The lawsuit concerns a WSJ report about a 2003 letter to Jeffrey Epstein containing a sexually suggestive sketch.

Trump, via the Truth Social platform, accused the media of a 'fake news' campaign.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Justice requested the release of depositions related to the Epstein case.

Jeffrey Epstein, who had been accused of sexual exploitation of minors, was found hanged in his cell in 2019.
