Nicolas Maduro to Appear in New York Court on Monday

Venezuela's ousted president, Nicolas Maduro, will appear before a judge in New York on Monday, where he will be formally informed of the charges he faces in the United States.
The charges include "narco-terrorism" and conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi emphasized that Maduro also faces charges of possessing automatic weapons and destructive devices.
According to current data, Maduro appears to be prosecuted under a new warrant, and the charges also include the First Lady of Venezuela.
The previous indictment contained four main charges, including narco-terrorism and conspiracy to import cocaine into the United States.
It is noted that the death penalty is provided for in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) for certain federal capital crimes, such as terrorism, under the Federal Death Penalty Act.
