Minneapolis: Federal Agents Withdraw After Protester's Death
Share on:

Donald Trump is seeking to de-escalate tensions in Minneapolis following the death of a protester. Federal agents will begin withdrawing from the city. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt stated that the President "doesn't want to see people getting hurt or killed in the streets."

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey announced via X that "some federal agents will begin to withdraw from the area." Tom Homan will replace Greg Bovino as head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

The justice system is being called upon to provide answers regarding the deaths of Rene Guud and Alex Pretti. Democrats in Congress are threatening to freeze funding for federal immigration agencies if reforms are not implemented.

President Trump hinted that federal officers would leave Minnesota "at some point." Regarding Alex Pretti's death, he stated, "I don't like shootings," but added, "I don't like someone going to a protest armed."

An analysis by the French Agency (ΚΥΠΕ) contradicts the official version of Alex Pretti's death, based on videos showing the nurse recording the operation of federal agents.
