Minneapolis: 12-year-old Greek-American girl fights for her life after shooting

The news that a 12-year-old Greek-American girl, Sofia Fortsa, is fighting for her life after a shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, USA, has caused shock. Little Sofia was one of 17 children injured by gunfire from 23-year-old Robin Westman.
The attack at the Annunciation Catholic School resulted in the death of two students, ages 8 and 10. According to the New York Post, Sofia was seriously injured and underwent emergency surgery, remaining in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Sofia's mother, a pediatric nurse, rushed to treat the victims, unaware that her own daughter was among them. At the time of the attack, Sofia's younger brother was also at the school, unharmed but witnessing the carnage.
The perpetrator, Robin Westman, had attended the same school and had posted videos with violent messages. His mother worked at the school until 2021.
