USA: 70-Year-Old Crashes Cessna in Los Angeles

A 70-year-old pilot is in critical condition after crashing a Cessna aircraft in Los Angeles. The aircraft struck high-voltage power lines before crashing into a parking lot.

The incident occurred near Whiteman Airport. The pilot, who has only been identified as a man in his 70s, was the only occupant of the aircraft. No other injuries were reported.

Video from the scene showed bystanders attempting to assist the pilot, while firefighters covered a fuel leak. The aircraft had been rented by the pilot.
