Twenty-five passengers on a Delta Air Lines flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam were injured and hospitalized in Minneapolis, USA, due to severe turbulence. The Airbus A330-900, carrying 275 passengers and 13 crew members, landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

According to reports, passengers who were not wearing seatbelts hit the aircraft's ceiling. Delta Air Lines has assured that it is providing support to the passengers.

Scientists warn that turbulence may become more frequent due to climate change and changes in jet streams. According to statistics, approximately 5,000 incidents of severe turbulence are recorded worldwide annually.
