ICE Agents Drag 56-Year-Old Half-Naked into Snow in Minnesota

A 56-year-old naturalized American citizen, Tsongli Tao, claims that ICE agents dragged him out of his Minnesota home half-naked and into the snow. The incident occurred during an investigation into two convicted sex offenders.
Tao, a member of the Hmong community and born in Laos, stated that agents broke down his door with guns drawn and dragged him outside wearing only shorts and slippers. He claimed he was not allowed to dress further.
The Department of Homeland Security stated that agents were investigating the presence of two convicted sex offenders at Tao's address. A department spokesperson said that Tao matched the description of the targets and that detaining all present is standard procedure.
Tao was released later the same day without any explanation or apology. His family described the incident as "unnecessary, humiliating, and deeply traumatizing."
A federal judge in Minnesota issued a temporary restraining order blocking certain aggressive tactics by the Trump administration, finding that they could deter citizens from participating in protests.
Tao feared he would be deported to Laos, a country where he no longer has relatives.
