Gunman Kills Police Officer in Atlanta – Found Dead

A gunman killed a police officer near the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) headquarters in Atlanta, USA, on Friday. The perpetrator was subsequently found dead at the scene, according to authorities.
The shooting occurred near the CDC complex and a pharmacy. The suspect, believed to have acted alone, was found dead on the second floor of a pharmacy, having succumbed to gunshot wounds.
Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens confirmed that the perpetrator is dead and no civilians were killed. Ninety-two children were safely evacuated from a daycare center in the CDC complex.
According to CNN and The New York Times, the gunman believed his illness was caused by the coronavirus vaccine. His father had informed authorities about his son's suicidal tendencies.
The slain officer, David Rose, was 33 years old and leaves behind his pregnant wife and two children.
