Court Orders Release of 5-Year-Old Detained by ICE

The court's decision stipulates that the child must be released no later than Tuesday (3/2). The judge stated that the case originated from a flawed pursuit by the government to achieve deportation quotas, even if it means causing physical or psychological harm to children.

According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the child's arrest occurred during an operation targeting his father. The family's lawyer stated that an asylum application had been submitted in December 2024 and there was no deportation order in effect.
