27-Day-Old Infant Dies in Gaza Due to Extreme Cold
A 27-day-old infant, Aisha Ayesh al-Agha, died in Gaza due to extreme weather conditions and intense cold, according to medical sources and the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip.
The incident occurred in the city of Khan Yunis. The infant was transferred to Nasser Hospital, but it was already too late.
With this death, the number of children who have died from the cold in Gaza since the beginning of winter has now reached eight.
Living conditions are precarious, with many families living in informal settlements without protection from the cold. Restrictions on humanitarian aid are exacerbating the situation.
