Syria: Ceasefire with Kurds Extended for 15 Days

The ceasefire between the Syrian government and Kurdish forces has been extended for 15 days. The agreement, initially reached mid-week, was set to expire on Saturday at 8 p.m.
The extension reportedly aims to facilitate the United States' operation to transfer prisoners. Hundreds of Islamic State members were transferred from Syria to Iraq on Saturday.
This marks the second operation to transfer jihadists from Syrian prisons, following the US announcement to relocate thousands of prisoners.
