Syria: Over 1,260 Dead in Sweida Province Due to Clashes

At least 1,260 people have been killed in the Sweida province of southern Syria following violent clashes between communities, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The clashes, which lasted a week, ended with a ceasefire on Sunday. The dead include fighters, civilians (including those executed) from the Druze community, members of government forces, and Bedouins.
The UN has received reports of summary executions and blind killings during the clashes.
Tensions between the Druze and Bedouin tribes escalated after the abduction of a Druze merchant.
