Syria: Ceasefire Between Government and Kurds in Aleppo

A ceasefire has been reached between Syrian forces and Kurdish fighters in Aleppo, following days of clashes. According to the Syrian Interior Ministry, over 400 Kurdish fighters were removed from the Sheikh Maqsoud district to the autonomous Kurdish zone.
In addition, 300 Kurds, including members of the Kurdish security forces, were arrested. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced an agreement for a ceasefire, allowing the removal of fighters and civilians from the Ashrafieh and Sheikh Maqsoud districts.
The Syrian news agency Sana confirmed the departure of buses with SDF members from Sheikh Maqsoud. Clashes began on Tuesday, resulting in 21 deaths and 155,000 displaced people. The capture of Sheikh Maqsoud by the Syrian army marks the end of Kurdish rule in parts of Aleppo since 2011.
