Syria: Israeli Airstrikes in Sweida Despite Ceasefire

Israeli drones have struck targets in the Sweida province of southern Syria, despite the recent ceasefire. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the strikes targeted Bedouin fighters and paramilitaries affiliated with the de facto authorities.
The NGO reported that residents and activists had observed increased activity of Israeli drones and helicopters in the past 24 hours. The Israeli military has not confirmed the operations.
Sweida is a Druze-majority region, and Israel has intervened in the past claiming to protect the minority. A ceasefire had been announced 11 days ago, but new Israeli strikes followed.
