Iran Alert: Impact on Cyprus and Flight Disruptions

An Air Haifa flight from Larnaca to Tel Aviv faced delays due to alerts triggered by fire from Iran, according to ynetnews. Cyprus remains on alert due to the escalating tensions.

Sirens sounded again in Akrotiri, but no threat was detected. Three drone attacks were reported, with one hitting the British Base in Akrotiri. Cyprus's air defenses are being reinforced with assistance from European countries, including four F-16s and two frigates from Greece.

805 Cypriot citizens have been repatriated via five flights. Two British Wildcat helicopters arrived at Akrotiri Bases to counter drones. The Italian frigate Federico Martinengo has also been deployed to defend Cyprus.

Test messages have been sent to the provinces of Limassol, Larnaca, and Nicosia. Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos stated that normalcy prevails in citizens' daily lives.

Pedro Sánchez of Spain offered assistance to Cyprus, while repatriations of Cypriots from Dubai continue. A total of 39 flights to and from Larnaca airport have been canceled.
