Save the Children: Gaza's Children 'Too Weak to Cry'
Share on:

Save the Children informed the UN about the dire situation of children in Gaza, emphasizing that they are starving and no longer have the strength to cry.

The head of the organization, Inger Ashing, speaking at the UN Security Council, described the scenes unfolding in clinics, where children are 'bleeding out' and are 'skeletal,' losing their strength before the eyes of doctors.

Ashing stressed that the famine in Gaza is not just a 'technical term' but a harsh reality where children suffer from acute malnutrition and die slowly and painfully.

Joyce Msuya, Deputy Head of Humanitarian Affairs at the UN, welcomed the 'slight increase' in humanitarian aid but stressed that it is not enough to reverse the famine.

Both officials called on the international community to take immediate action to stop this crisis.
