US President Donald Trump stated that the war in Iran would end "soon," describing the American involvement as a "short excursion." These statements were made during a press conference where Trump attempted to present a positive image of American action in Iran, amidst an ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

According to Trump, the US has eliminated Iran's fighting capabilities, including its leadership, navy, and air force. However, he admitted that Washington "will go further."

In response, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards stated that they would "determine the end of the war" and that Tehran would not allow the export of oil from the region if US and Israeli attacks continue.

Trump avoided commenting on Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, but reiterated that he considers his election unacceptable. He also defended the war in Iran as necessary to prevent Tehran from developing nuclear weapons, despite the doubts of his advisors.

Regarding the losses, Trump stated that "there is always death in wars," following the deaths of eight American soldiers.
