Five Journalists Killed in Israeli Strike in Gaza

Five journalists, including contributors to Al Jazeera, Reuters, and AP, were killed in Israeli strikes on a hospital in the Gaza Strip. The attack resulted in a total of 20 deaths, according to Civil Defense.
The Foreign Press Association in Jerusalem (FPA) demanded explanations from Israeli authorities. The Israeli military acknowledged carrying out a strike in the area of Nasser Hospital and announced an investigation, expressing regret for any harm to uninvolved individuals.
Al Jazeera announced the death of photojournalist Mohammad Salama. Reuters confirmed the death of its contributor, Hossam al Masri, and the injury of Hatem Khaled. The Associated Press expressed sorrow over the death of Mariam Daga, a freelance photojournalist.
The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and Reporters Without Borders (RSF) have recorded nearly 200 journalists killed since the start of the war in Gaza.
