Middle East: Potential Attack on Iran – Scenarios Emerge
Share on:

The US is increasing its military presence in the Middle East, fueling speculation about a potential ground attack on Iran. The Pentagon is reportedly planning to send additional troops, with two strategically important Iranian islands at the center of discussions.

According to military analysts, the troop increase suggests targeted operations rather than a prolonged campaign. Two Iranian islands are central to discussions, and an operation to seize nuclear stockpiles is also mentioned.

Donald Trump extended the deadline for Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, temporarily mitigating the possibility of an immediate invasion. Retired Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis estimates that approximately 4,000-5,000 combat troops are being deployed.

Davis outlines three potential scenarios: the capture of Qeshm Island, the capture of Kharg Island, and an operation to seize nuclear material.

Mohammad-Baqer Ghalibaf stated that Iran's armed forces are monitoring the enemy's movements.

Ruben Stewart believes the military deployment is a tool for coercive pressure.
