Despite the ceasefire, Israel has carried out new airstrikes in the Suwayda province of southern Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Israeli drones targeted Bedouin fighters and paramilitaries affiliated with the de facto authorities in the western part of the province. There are no reports yet on the number of casualties.

The Israeli military has not confirmed the operations, with a spokesperson stating they were unaware of the strikes. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports an escalation of Israeli military activity in the area, with increased reconnaissance flights.

Over 1,300 people have been killed in clashes in the region since mid-July, including Israeli bombings. Israel claims it is intervening to protect the Druze population.

A ceasefire between Israel and Syria, brokered by the US and Turkey, was announced 11 days ago.
