Israeli Strikes Hit Energy Facility South of Sanaa

The Israeli military announced that it targeted an energy infrastructure used by Iranian-backed Houthi rebels, south of Sanaa, Yemen. Israeli media reported that the Khaziz power plant was hit.
According to the Israeli military, the strikes were in response to Houthi attacks against Israel, including missile and drone launches. The Houthi's Al Masirah TV reported that a power generation unit south of Sanaa was hit, disabling some generators. Crews managed to control the resulting fire.
Residents reported hearing at least two explosions in Sanaa. Israel states that the strikes in Yemen are a response to attacks by the Houthis, who are launching missiles at Israel in support of Palestinians in Gaza.
The US and Britain have also launched attacks against the Houthis. In May, the US announced an agreement with the Houthis to stop attacks on ships, but the Houthis state that the agreement does not prevent them from targeting Israel.
