Israeli Retaliation in West Bank After Bus Attack

The Israeli army announced it is encircling Palestinian villages near Ramallah in the West Bank, reinforcing its defenses. This move is in response to the armed attack on a bus stop in Jerusalem, which resulted in 6 deaths and 12 injuries.

The attack was the deadliest in Israel since October 2024. According to authorities, the perpetrators were two Palestinians from the West Bank who opened fire on bus passengers. A soldier and a civilian neutralized the attackers. Hamas expressed support for the attack.
