Israel: Rockets from Gaza, Reactions to Sumud Flotilla

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that five rockets were launched from the northern Gaza Strip towards Israel during Yom Kippur night. Four rockets were intercepted, while one fell in an open area without causing injuries.
The incident occurred as the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian flotilla with over 40 ships and approximately 500 passengers, including Greta Thunberg, was intercepted by Israeli forces as it approached Gaza. The flotilla was attempting to deliver food and medicine, bypassing the Israeli naval blockade.
In Cyprus, activists organized a protest in Nicosia, outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, regarding the flotilla's interception. Similar mobilizations took place in Athens, outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Italy, the largest trade union announced a general strike in protest of Israel's handling of the Sumud Flotilla.
