Israel: Tensions Rise Between Political and Military Leadership

Tensions are rising between the political and military leadership in Israel ahead of the Security Council meeting on the Gaza war.

Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir stated he will continue to express himself "without fear" and with "professionalism," according to an army statement.

The clash comes as Prime Minister Netanyahu prepares to announce the next phase of operations, which will include an escalation of conflicts in Gaza.

General Eyal Zamir warned that the escalation could endanger Israeli hostages and expressed his opposition to the complete occupation of the Gaza Strip.
