Iran: US and Israel Reportedly Bomb Nuclear Reactor

Iranian media reported that airstrikes by the US and Israel hit a heavy water nuclear reactor and a uranium processing plant in central Iran.

According to the Fars news agency, the Khondab (Arak) heavy water reactor complex was targeted in two stages of attacks. A local official reported that there were no deaths or increased levels of radiation.

The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced that airstrikes also hit a uranium processing plant in Ardakan, Yazd province. The organization added that the attack did not cause the release of radioactive materials.
