Iran: Student Executed for Leaking Information to Mossad

Iranian authorities have executed Roozbeh Vadi, a student accused of spying for Israel and leaking information about an Iranian nuclear scientist. The scientist was killed during an Israeli attack in June, according to the newspaper Mizan, the mouthpiece of the Iranian judiciary.
Vadi worked in one of the most important state organizations and committed multiple crimes against national security, causing disruption of public order. The execution has sparked reactions and heightened tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
Mizan did not reveal the identity of the scientist, but independent sources say he was a senior member of the nuclear program, whose assassination was attributed to Israeli intelligence services.
