Iran: 148 Dead in Attack on Girls' School in Minab

The death toll from the attack on a girls' primary school in Minab, Iran, has risen to 148. According to the Iranian news agency Mehr, there are also 95 injured, the vast majority of whom are young students.
Iranian authorities are continuing efforts to clear the rubble. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi shared a photo from the site of the attack, stating that the school was destroyed and innocent children were killed. "These crimes against the Iranian people will not go unanswered," he wrote in a post.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei condemned the attack and called on the UN Security Council to take action. Mehr also reported that two students were killed in another attack on a school east of Tehran.
